We conducted a Perso Interactive technology demonstration in the presence of officials, including Jeju Governor Oh Young-hun, who visited in person from Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. By implementing a Jeju tourism information AI Avatar, we introduced a service that guides visitors by voice conversation with information about tourist attractions, transportation, restaurants, and more, and we directly verified the possibility of introducing Perso Interactive Station into local government administrative services through various solutions. Officials from the province and local governments, including the governor, experienced the technology firsthand and showed strong interest, making it a meaningful occasion that led to substantive discussions about implementation in Jeju's tourism and administrative service sectors.
Background
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is a representative tourist destination visited by millions of domestic and international tourists each year, and it faced the challenge of providing consistent and convenient tourism guidance services to visitors of various nationalities. At the same time, as the need for digital transformation of local government administrative services and the establishment of smart tourism infrastructure increased, we organized a Perso Interactive demonstration to review practical solutions using AI technology.
Solution
We demonstrated a service that implements an AI Avatar specialized for Jeju tourism guidance, allowing visitors to naturally receive information about tourist attractions, transportation, restaurants, and more through voice conversation. Through real-time multilingual support, foreign tourists can receive the same level of guidance without language barriers, and AI dubbing technology was also showcased. By presenting scenarios in which Perso Interactive Station is placed at various touchpoints such as tourism information centers, airports, and major tourist attractions, we broadly verified the possibility of adoption across local government administrative services.

Results
Officials from local governments, including Governor Oh Young-hun, experienced the technology firsthand and confirmed its strong potential for use in Jeju's tourism and administrative service sectors. The officials who directly experienced the natural conversation with the AI Avatar and the tourism information guidance gave positive feedback on its potential for on-site application, and the multilingual support feature was especially well received for fitting Jeju's characteristics, where the proportion of foreign tourists is high. Through this demonstration, we confirmed the possibility that an AI Avatar-based tourism guidance service can meaningfully contribute to building Jeju's smart tourism infrastructure, and it served as a meaningful stepping stone toward full-scale discussions on adoption at the local government level.

A. Yes. Content tailored to the characteristics of a specific region, such as tourist attractions, transportation, restaurants, and event information, can be freely configured. We will design the local tourism information and scenarios together through prior consultation.
