Visitor Experience at KINTEX Exhibition Center 3 Transformed by the Introduction of the AI Avatar Station
About
The opening ceremony of KINTEX Exhibition Center 3 was a high-profile event attended by various domestic and international dignitaries. In such large-scale events, the initial greeting and guidance at the entrance define the overall guest experience. Traditional systems, however, have faced structural limitations, such as one-way information delivery or inconsistent service quality depending on the proficiency of on-site staff.
To address this, Perso Interactive introduced an AI Human–powered AI Kiosk, creating an Interactive welcome experience at the entrance. Visitors were greeted by an AI avatar with personalized welcome messages and received real-time event guidance.
By shifting from generic guidance to a data-driven personalized experience, the center successfully provided a premium, barrier-free welcome to all visitors from the very first moment.
Background
As visitor expectations for event technology continue to rise, there is a growing demand for personalized recognition rather than just basic information retrieval.
While conventional uniform guidance is efficient for mass crowd management, it often falls short of providing the depth and professional courtesy required for individual VIPs or specific visitor goals. Especially during international opening ceremonies, language barriers have historically acted as a major hurdle, not only hindering communication but also affecting the perceived professionalism of the event.
To address this, KINTEX sought to create a seamless journey where visitors could be welcomed personally upon arrival and instantly access relevant information in their own language—establishing a continuous, high-quality experience flow from the very first touchpoint.
Solution
The station, powered by Perso Interactive, provides personalized greetings and tailored guidance based on visitor profiles. By proactively delivering necessary information according to a guest's affiliation and purpose, the system ensures a differentiated experience right from the entrance.
Visitors can engage in natural, conversation-like interactions with the AI Human to check facility details, program schedules, and locations. Even with casual queries such as “Tell me about today’s programs” or “Where is this booth?”, the AI accurately grasps the intent and provides comprehensive guidance, from exhibit details to navigation routes. This allows repetitive inquiries to be handled instantly through the AI, significantly streamlining the information search process for visitors.
In addition, real-time Multilingual AI support ensures that international visitors can access the same level of service in their native language. Regardless of the language used, the system delivers natural and accurate responses, overcoming the limitations of traditional language-dependent services.

Results
With personalized AI Human greetings, visitors were welcomed by name and purpose from the moment they entered the venue—enhancing the overall first impression of the event.
By enabling visitors to ask questions and receive answers instantly, the need to locate help desks or rely on staff was significantly reduced — improving both accessibility of information and operational efficiency.
Real-time Multilingual support ensured that international visitors could navigate exhibition info and routes in their own languages, eliminating the discomfort of language barriers and providing an equitable experience for all. Ultimately, this innovative first impression has established itself as a core element in elevating event preparedness and brand value.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can it be deployed on-site immediately without installation or separate development?
A. Yes. Perso Interactive AI can be deployed on-site immediately without separate development or infrastructure setup. However, if adding event information or customization is required, desired development can be carried out through prior consultation. After development, the station (kiosk) devices can be placed and operated on-site right away.
Q. Is it possible to operate it across multiple event venues at the same time?
A. Yes, it is possible. A real-world case is the simultaneous operation of the APEC Gyeongju event and the opening ceremony of KINTEX Exhibition Center 3. Since separate information sets can be configured for each venue, it can be reliably applied to expos or multi-venue events running multiple events at once.
