About

Most school settings manage students’ health and activity levels, but because data is dispersed across multiple systems, there were structural limitations in providing personalized management and continuous feedback. In particular, existing methods were limited to fragmented records, making it difficult to continuously track each student’s growth trajectory.

To address this, we introduced an AI health coach based on Perso Interactive, creating an environment where students can communicate with AI through stations and wearable devices based on their own health data and receive personalized feedback and coaching. In addition, we established a data-driven management environment in which collected activity data is also connected to teachers’ records and evaluations, enabling continuous tracking of each student’s growth trend and even objective, evidence-based student record writing.

As a result, student health data that had been dispersed was integrated into a single flow, achieving improved personalized health management and enhanced data utilization in educational settings at the same time.

Background for Adoption

As digital transformation accelerated, the need for precise, data-based student management grew in educational settings, going beyond simply observing activities.

However, existing operational methods remained focused on one-way information delivery and manual record-keeping, making it difficult for students to recognize and improve their own health status. In particular, an environment where teachers had to subjectively describe the activities of hundreds of students one by one remained a major challenge in terms of record reliability and work efficiency.

Accordingly, this solution was adopted to build a virtuous cycle in which students directly experience their own activity data and actively participate in health management, while this process is automatically linked to teachers’ records.

Solution

Various health data—such as student activity levels, heart rate, exercise participation, and lifestyle patterns—are collected in real time through stations and smart watches, and then provided to teachers in the form of a visualized dashboard. Through this visualized data, teachers can grasp each student’s trend of change and current status at a glance, enabling systematic, data-based management beyond the existing fragmented, observation-centered approach.

Collected activity data is analyzed by AI and automatically generated into sentences that can be immediately used for student record writing. Teachers can complete highly reliable evaluation records simply by reviewing and supplementing the objective drafts suggested by AI, and this entire process is designed as an integrated interaction structure that naturally connects data collection to evaluation and record-keeping.

Outcomes

After implementing the solution, students changed from being passive recipients of education to active participants who directly check their own health data and lead change. As personalized feedback and coaching were provided in real time, students’ motivation for voluntary participation in activities noticeably increased, leading to qualitative improvements in physical education activities.

In addition, as AI automatically generated student record drafts, teachers’ administrative burden was reduced, creating an environment where saved time could be focused on essential educational activities such as student guidance. With the ability to continuously track each individual’s activity trends, teachers were able to understand each student’s condition in greater detail and provide tailored management.

As a result, the previous record-keeping method that relied on subjective judgment was transformed into an objective, data-based evaluation system, achieving innovative outcomes that further strengthened the reliability and consistency of student records.

Recommended For

If you are an educational institution managing student data, a physical education teacher or health administrator, or a superintendent’s office/local government official, this case can serve as an excellent reference. If you want to go beyond the limitations of subjective evaluation and maximize reliability and operational efficiency in educational settings with AI technology, it offers very useful guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can it be deployed on-site immediately without installation or separate development?

A. Yes. Perso Interactive AI can be deployed on-site immediately without separate development or infrastructure setup. However, if additional event information or customization is needed, the desired development can be carried out through prior consultation. After development, station (kiosk) devices can be installed for immediate on-site operation.

Q. How is student health data collected?

A. Various data such as activity levels, heart rate, and exercise participation are automatically collected through smart watches and stations. The structure allows data to accumulate in real time without separate manual input.

Q. How are data reliability and objectivity ensured?

A. Because it is based on wearable-based automatic data collection and AI analysis, records with higher consistency and objectivity are possible compared to conventional subjective observation methods.

It’s convenient because I can visually see each student’s activities at a glance, and it even automatically creates a draft of the school life record, allowing me to write it much faster and more accurately based on data.
