The global fandom of SM, one of Korea’s leading entertainment companies, continues to grow rapidly. However, opportunities for fans to directly communicate with artists remain limited. Most fan experiences are still centered around consuming content and reacting to it, making it difficult for fans to feel a sustained emotional connection with their favorite artists.

To address this gap, Perso Interactive AI introduced an Interactive AI Human experience, where fans can engage in real-time conversations with characters personally created by SM artists.

Through this, fans move beyond passive content consumption and begin to experience a more immersive and emotional connection—feeling as though they are genuinely interacting with the artist’s character.

Background

Traditional fan engagement within SM has largely been concentrated around specific moments—such as live performances, fan meetings, or content releases. While impactful, these touchpoints are limited in frequency, making it challenging to sustain ongoing interaction between fans and artists.

As the global fandom expands, fans increasingly seek ways to connect with artists more frequently and naturally—without being restricted by time or location. However, existing platforms have struggled to provide such continuous and accessible interaction points.

Furthermore, fan platforms needed a new structure to transition from one-off reactions to sustained engagement and repetitive interaction. Consequently, Perso Interactive AI was introduced as an immersive solution where fans can strike up a conversation with an artist's character at any time.

Leveraging Perso Interactive Multilingual AI, we built a conversational service that embodies the unique worldview, speech patterns, and personality of SM artist characters.
