Perso Interactive participated in the Seocho AI Festa and operated an experience booth where residents and visitors of Seocho-gu could have free conversations with an AI Avatar. Through the Perso Interactive Station, citizens directly talked with the AI Avatar and experienced guidance on Seocho-gu living information and event schedules.

As a result, it expanded beyond simple viewing into experiential AI content that anyone could participate in without hesitation, and it drew attention as a citizen-participation AI experience case at a local government AI Festa.

Background of Introduction

Interest in AI technology is growing, but opportunities for ordinary citizens to experience it firsthand remain limited. Especially at public events, there was a growing need for content that moves beyond one-way demo presentations and lets citizens participate directly, experience it, and feel the possibilities of AI technology firsthand.

The Seocho AI Festa was organized in this context to introduce AI technology to Seocho-gu residents in a friendly way and provide opportunities to experience it directly. Along with experience-centered content that allowed citizens to naturally encounter AI, Perso Interactive Station was chosen as a solution that could also provide practical guidance on Seocho-gu living information and event schedules.

Solution

Using Perso Interactive Station, we operated an experience booth where Seocho-gu residents and visitors could freely converse with an AI Avatar. With no complicated operation required, anyone could naturally join the experience simply by speaking to the AI Avatar and immediately check Seocho-gu living information and event schedules.

Even in an outdoor event environment, it operated stably, and an environment was created in which everyone from children to seniors could comfortably talk with AI without any separate guidance. Rather than a viewing booth that people simply passed by after looking, it was completed as participatory experiential content where citizens directly spoke, received responses, and experienced AI firsthand.

Results

At the Seocho AI Festa site, the AI experience booth drew strong interest by encouraging natural participation from citizens. The new experience of speaking directly with an AI Avatar inspired voluntary participation and interest from citizens of all ages, and visitors naturally went on to recommend it to friends and acquaintances after the experience.

Also, as a flow formed in which citizens voluntarily participated and interacted without any separate explanation, it became an opportunity to instill the perception that AI technology is not difficult or distant, but something anyone can conveniently use in everyday life. This case showed that AI can be used as effective participatory content even at public events and confirmed its potential as a model that can be expanded to various local government events and experience programs in the future.
